My Goalkeeping System

Chapter 353 Super Aggressive

After all the struggles to either get an equalizer or get a two-goal cushion before the first came to an end, the first half finally came to an end with none of those things happening.

"That was quite an entertaining first half, don\'t you think so, Steve?" Jim said as the players made their way down the tunnel.

"Yeah, it could have been better if Supreme United put up a better resistance than they did, bus still it was a good and interesting first half." Steve expressed.

"Yeah, they could have put up a better form of resistance, but if you look at it from another angle, it doesn\'t look like Unique FC are planning to let go of their lead easily, their putting all their effort into it. They\'re doing great so far, but there\'s always something different in the second half so we\'ll have to wait and see."

Unique FC players were all in the locker room now with Norman standing right in front of them as he had something to tell them.

"You guys are doing quite great so far, but it\'s not over yet so don\'t let your guard down in the second half, even for a second in the second half." He said.

\'I think anyone who\'s been in this team for a while doesn\'t need to be told that, we all know what happens as soon as we do that.\' Dave said subconsciously.

"Good job everyone, Diego could have caused us a lot of trouble in midfield but you\'ve done quite well in not giving him any space to do anything from midfield, Minino."

"I said I was going to do it and I\'m doing it, it\'s my job and I\'m going to continue doing it in the second half." The midfielder said.

"You too, Roland, you\'re doing fine in restricting his movement on that right-wing so far, but try not to get a second yellow card, okay."

"I\'ll try," Roland said.

"The second half will be starting anytime now, and there\'s a big chance that they\'re going to switch things up. But don\'t worry, if that happens, we\'ll just switch to plan B, our own way of switching things up, for now, just keep doing what you\'re doing." The coach expressed as the players replied by nodding.

\'I just need Mateo to score one more goal and so far the clean sheet quest is still safe.\' Dave said subconsciously as he made his way toward the exit with his teammates.

<You forgot to mention that you also need Roland to score>

\'Yeah, that one too although I don\'t have any desire to allow him put the ball past me just for one stat point.\'

<Oh, really? And what if you guys go four goals up in this second, will you allow it to happen then?>

\'Um maybe, but that means I\'ll have to fail the match quest which will give me better rewards, uh forget it, I\'m never going to willingly allow him to score against me just for one stat point.\'

<Whatever your decision is, he may still end up putting the ball past you in this half depending on the situation>

\'I know, but I\'m going to do everything I can do to prevent that from happening.\'

"Welcome back everyone, the second half is about to kick off as we can see the players from both teams making their way to the pitch now," Jim said as the players hopped their way onto the pitch.

Unique FC were the ones who started the match from the kick-off spot in the first half and that meant that Supreme United were going to be the ones to do it in this half as Roland Hills could be seen standing over the ball in the kick-off spot.

"Considering how the first half went off, I\'m expecting more from this half," Jim said.

"Yeah, me too, for Supreme United, it\'s either strike back or be struck down completely and I\'m sure that Unique FC would very much prefer the latter." Steve expressed.

Roland was standing over the ball now waiting for the referee\'s whistle, and as soon as he heard it, he quickly rolled the ball to Diego who quickly sent it to Zen with a backheel pass.

"There\'s the whistle and we are on the way."

So far, Supreme United weren\'t making attempts to attack as they were just passing the ball around intending to dragstrikeque FC\'s defense and striking them as quickly as possible.

It was quite surprising how Supreme United had more possession than Unique FC in the first half since that used to be the only way Unique FC could dominate them in the past.

It was just one percent more possession though, and the fact that the away side were still leading gave them more reason not to care, more possession or less possession, winning the match was all that mattered.

Foden received the ball from Pelcao after his path was blocked by both Minino and Carlos.

As soon as Foden received the ball, he turned and quickly passed it to Diego before Ferran could get to him.

"Diego."

Diego had Roland right in his path and he could have tried, but he didn\'t want to lose the ball unnecessarily, so he found Roland Hills making a run toward the box and quickly sent the ball rolling to him.

Roland could have lost the ball to Adolf if he had continued moving further but he was quick enough to suddenly stop before sending the ball to Foden with a backheel pass.

Foden got hold of the ball and quickly sent it rolling toward Diego before he was brought down by Martinez.

"Back to Diego."

Diego quickly pushed the ball forward as he saw Roland making a quick run into the box, and without giving much thought to it, he sent the ball flying over toward him.

"He\'s sent it flying in."

"That\'s easy," Dave muttered before he quickly rushed toward the ball, jumped up, and caught it before Roland could get his head to it.

"Dave steps up and grabs it, that\'s danger averted," Jim said.

Dave didn\'t stop for anything after catching that ball as he quickly threw it up and quickly sent it flying toward Mateo before Supreme United players could organize themselves.

"Looks like Dave is trying to catch them off guard here."

The situation was by no means a counterattack as Supreme United had three players ahead of him, but at the same time, Mateo had Ferran, Minino, and Merino running alongside him with all the other players right behind them.

"There\'s a high chance that Unique FC\'s going to pull something out of this one," Steve commented.

As soon as Mateo got close enough to Michael, he pushed the ball to Ferran who quickly sent it rolling to Minino.

Minino quickly moved toward the box with the ball, he knew they had to act quickly now that the players behind them were closing up on them.

The defender quickly rushed out to try and stop him, but before the defender could get to him, he quickly pushed the ball to Ferran.

Mateo was inside the box now and Ferran being aware of that quickly lobbed the ball over to him.

"This could be the moment."

The winger quickly brought the ball down with his chest, and just before Perez could get to him, he struck the ball this time with his left foot, and that was all that was needed to send the ball flying past the goalkeeper and into the goalpost.

"Mateo shoots! Mateo scores!" Jim exclaimed. "Oh, my goodness, it\'s the second one."

The crowd broke into cheers as the winger raced to the sidelines, but their celebration was cut short as the referee blew his whistle.

"Looks like the referee\'s not giving it and the linesman has his flag up. He was offside?"

"Yeah, Jim, looks like his right foot put him offside by a few centimeters," Steve said.

"Come on," Dave said before slapping his palm into his face.

<It\'s frustrating, but still it was the right call, you guys are surprisingly dominating this match>

The away fans and players were not entirely happy with that decision but they couldn\'t complain about it since it was going to be clear to anyone that Mateo was offside once they were shown the footage.

"That could have been a wild moment, but Supreme would sure be relieved that things didn\'t turn out that way for them, they would have been devastated." Steve expressed.

After setting up the ball in the right spot, Perez sent it flying in toward the middle, but that was a mistake as Martinez jumped in from nowhere to steal it before Foden could get a hold of it, and without further ado, he quickly pushed it to Minino.

"Unique FC have the ball back in their possession, they\'re being super aggressive here."

Minino quickly raced toward the box with the ball, and as soon as he got close enough, he quickly sent it flying toward the goalpost with a powerful shot.

"Oh, he\'s gone for the shot!"

The ball was sent flying toward the top right-hand side of the goalpost, but Perez was able to get there right on time to push it over the bar with both of his gloves.

"What a close save from Perez, that could have turned out differently."

"Yeah, but now they have a corner to deal with," Steve said.

Ferran quickly went to the spot to take the corner kick, and as soon as he heard the referee\'s whistle, he slowly took two steps backward before he quickly closed up on the ball and sent it flying into the box.

Conan jumped up along with Fred to try and nod the ball out of the danger zone, and he succeeded in doing that as the ball fell toward Zen who quickly sent it flying toward Roland to try and start a counterattack but unfortunately for them, Martinez got there right on time to take the ball off the striker with a neat sliding tackle.

He quickly got up after getting hold of the ball and quickly sent it rolling all the way back to Dave.

\'Sending the ball back to me when you could have sent it forward in that situation.\' Dave said subconsciously as he trapped the ball under his feet. \'I know what you\'re looking for.\'

The goalkeeper quickly pushed the ball forward before he quickly closed up on it and sent it flying in toward the middle.

"Hmph, it\'s not a super shot, why do I feel disappointed?"

The ball was headed straight for Ferran who quickly headed it over to Minino.

Minino brought the ball down with his chest before he found his man near the box and quickly lobbed the ball over to him.

Mateo quickly got past Conan and just before Perez could stretch his hands and grab the ball, he got his head on it and lobbed it over the goalkeeper and into the goalpost.

"It\'s in! It\'s another Minino and Mateo combination and this time the flag stays down!"

The winger quickly rushed to the sidelines and did a sliding celebration as the referee blew his whistle and pointed to the kick-off spot.

"Unique FC are having fun in the Supreme Stadium of all places, it\'s Supreme United nil, Unique FC two."
